These Socks really do Rock!

It's official! I'm no longer a Socks that Rock virgin - I finished my first pair!

Here are my Lucy Socks that Rock:

Yarn: Socks that Rock™ mediumweight
Color: Lucy
Needles: US 2 DPNs
Pattern: Basic Sock with 2x2 ribbed cuff

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed working on these beauties. The yarn was so soft and squishy. It was just a joy to knit with. I now totally understand what all the fuss is about!! Many other bloggers have raved about this yarn before. I admit - I was sceptical. I mean - it's just another sock yarn - how different can it be right? Well let me tell you...

Socks that Rock sock yarn is better than sex!

That got your attention right?

OK - so maybe I exaggerate a little - but not much! This stuff is fab. Go out and get some right now. I'll wait...

Back so soon?

OK - then here are some more closeups pics of my socks - did I mention I love this yarn?

Wow! Fantastic job on the heel gussets. What technique are you using to avoid "holes" where you picked up stitches?

Thanks Jinann! I don't really use any special technique for the heel gusset except to pick up one more "extra" stitch where there wouldn't normally be one - just to make sure I don't get a hole.

I sometimes will even pick up more than one extra - if looks like a hole is forming!

Your socks are beautiful! I love STR (doesn't everyone?) You have been a busy sock-knitting queen! :) Great job!

Some day I'll find my perfect Lucy pattern and we will have matching socks! What socks are you working on now?

They're gorgeous. I went straight from your post to ogle the yarn on the website and am already setting up the conditions I have to meet before buying it all. Thanks for new obsession.

Great socks. That is such cool colorway. I haven't tried STR yet but it looks amazing.
