Stitchy McItchy reporting in... I've been miserable all weekend with a severe case of Poison Ivy. This truly sucks because it means I haven't been spinning as much as I would like to.

I did do a little though - I mean it would take a LOT not to try out my new baby. Here is my first handspun on my very own wheel!

Blue Handspun

The roving was actually a gift - thanks Jolene!

I decided I need some more 'stash' just in case.... So I headed over to Cloverhill and got me some Mama-E goodness!

New Mama E Roving

Isn't it luscious! It's Mama-E's merino tencel blend. Love the color! I got some oil too - just to make sure everything stays nice and smooth.

I met up with Amie over there and she also brought me a virtual spinning smorgasboard!! She brought me a sampling of all kinds of fiber, mohair, cotton, flax, mohair locks and some wool from a sheep at the Philadelphia zoo! You're the best Amie!!! Thanks!!! I can't wait to try it all.

In the mean time - what's a girl to do when she's laying in bed covered in Calamine lotion laying nakid in bed with the ceiling fan on high? (Ok - TMI)... Why - Knit lace of course! Here's my mystery stole with clue 2 completed. I finished it in one day - since I had nothing else to do to keep my mind off the itching - I worked on this on Saturday.

I did go to the doctor today and got a course of steriods and some Zyrtec. I hope it goes away soon!

Okay, I get the hint! I'll give you some flax/linen! But I didn't yet!

I gave you Dorset (that's the Philly sheep), Targhee (that's the blue/copper), mohair roving (that's the orange), mohair locks (that's the gold), Soy Silk (tan shiney), cotton (tan not shiny), alpaca roving (fuzzy white), angora (super slippery white) and I forget if there was more....

But I will give you a chunk of linen to play with too. Just cuz I love you. :D

Your lacework is gorgeous!! You're inspiring me to get to work on a shawl for my mother. Thank you!!

Also, I'm quite envious of your woolee winder ... I really, really want one. Your spinning is fantastic!!

And now, in my jealousy, I must brag that I am not allergic to poison ivy. :) Seriously, though, I hope that you feel better and that the medicine helps!!

Got any green to spin up so you can call the yarn "Poison Ivy"? Seriously. You made the yarn look so smooth on your wheel, even a caveman could do it.

Naked knitting. Cool.

Hope you're feeling better! The spinning looks great and the shawl is just beautiful! I haven't picked up any needles in over a week - since I got sick! Soon, though, soon!

OOooh, pretty!! Sounds like you've got loads of things to experiment with!

And beautiful lacework! So pretty, and a fabulous color! Very nice!

Hope the itching is getting better. Hubby had that a month ago, and it was not fun. He ended up on steroids at the same time I was on all the hormones. It was not a fun few weeks at my house! ;)

Your spinning looks fan-freakin'-tastic!!! I'm very proud of you! Tho, I am a bit jealous that you've gotten so far on your stole... I've been too busy to even finish clue 1 yet!! I'm lovin' your yarn color!!

I hope you feel better soon!!
