Tap tap... this thing on?

It's been a month since I've last posted! I can't believe how quickly time has gotten away from me. All I can say is - I've been working long hours. It's no excuse - but it's all I've got.

John has also started chemo again - he's done 2 rounds and has 8 more to go. He's been extremely tired and it's very frustrating to watch him go through this again. Those of you who read his blog know the details - but in a nutshell - there is still some cancer in his liver. Luckily his colon and entire digestive track is still clear. We just have to get the little suckers still in his liver.

So anyway - I'm doing ok other than my frustrations that I can't do anything to help John feel better. I have been keeping busy - working maybe a little too much though!!

I've been doing some knitting here and there also. Right now I am working on the Shetland triangle. I'm knitting it with the orange handspun I just finished. I'm loving it! I have one more repeat to go before the border. Pictures soon!

I also have new drawings to share! These are my latest sketches for the sketchbook swap.

My Fav is the birds on a wire, followed closely by just hanging out.

Yay for John's digestive tract/colon being clear!! Boo for the liver. I'm so sorry to hear he has to go through more treatments. I've been thinking about you guys daily.

Love the drawings though! They are absolutely gorgeous. The giraffes' would make a great print. And the coi. Heck, all of them!

It was great to see you at the Homespun Yarn party! Just wish I had longer to chat!

Darling drawings! Not one of my talents, so I'm always so impressed with those who can :)

I had wondered if hubby was needing treatment again when we hadn't heard from you in awhile. It's a rotten disease, but it can be beaten ... & I'm proof. Praying that the chemo blasts all the 'nasties' in his liver and that it doesn't invade any other cells or organs!

So good to see you've posted. Sorry for the rather sad news thought. I know one of the hardest things is to feel - and be - helpless. We have only exchanged a few Ravelry-messages (and I'm still 'travelling' on Google Earth rather than in real life) but I'm thinking of you, both of you, and sending lots of strength, hope and patience.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I hope that the chemo gets everything in his liver this time that it needs to, and he feels much better right away!

My dad just finished his latest round of chemo and is having weird symptoms, so more tests this week. I know a little of what you both are going through, and how tough it is...you are in my thoughts and prayers. ((hugs))
