Watercolor days

Growing up, my mom and I always did art together. One of our favorite mediums is watercolor. She was down for a visit last weekend and we decided to have a watercolor day.

Here are some of my painting:

Tilt - A play on perspective...

Tilt

Tweey Bird II - I loved the pen and ink version of this I did in the sketchbook swap. Since I drew it in someone else's book - I had to send it away! So I wanted to paint something for me!

I'm working on another painting right inspired by some photos of Venice. I can't wait to finish it!

I admire watercolorists. The amount of technique is very intimidating to me...but not to my wife.

I am also impressed with the variety of techniques.

    Thanks for showing your work.

  20. Hello, I am glad I came by this blog. What an interesting post! Sounds like music to my eyes and I love poetry so much.

Also, I see you are a rushdie fan as well. I'm reading one of his books, the satanic verses, have you read this and what are your views?

I would like to return and comment further on your blog if you feel a counter visit is worth some of your time?

  25. Great use of color. Looking through you blog makes me want to knit. With the weather turning cooler here, I just want to warm up the world with a nice new blanket. I wonder if that is a tall order for a first time knitter........I must get started on this soon.
